NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - It may be overcast outside, but it’s the perfect day to soak up a little culture in New York City.
It’s Museum Day!
30 museums across the city are opening their doors free of charge on Saturday, and more than 1,500 cultural institutions nationwide are participating.
Some big-ticket institutions, such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, are not participating.
This is the eighth year that Smithsonian Magazine is sponsoring a free museum day.
