NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a Manhattan park on Monday morning.

A dog walker made the gruesome discovery inside Inwood Park near Dyckman Street and Henry Hudson Parkway around 8 a.m., police said.

The man, who has not been identified, is believed to be between 50 and 60-years-old, police said.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
