George Washington Bridge Lights To Go Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The George Washington Bridge will be sporting a new look this month.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the "necklace lights" that adorn the suspension cables of the bridge will glow pink.

The lights will be pink for all of October.

On Monday night, another New York City landmark glowed pink. The lights of the Empire State Building were pink to honor The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and Global Landmark Illumination Initiative.
