TV 10-55′s Alex Denis was there as His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan offered a special blessing for more than two dozen homeless shelter animals and their rescuers Thursday morning to mark the annual celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

The puppies, kittens, cats and bunnies were saved from euthanasia by Wheels of Hope, a program run by the Mayor’s Alliance.
