The Yankees got a leg up on the Orioles in the ALDS, thanks to a 7-2 win in Game 1 down in Baltimore, capping off a great sports weekend.
Boomer & Craig opened up today’s radio program talking about the Bombers and Russell Martin, who flexed his muscle in the top of the 9th – when he led off with a long-ball – giving the Bombers a 3-2 lead that they would not relinquish.
Andy Pettitte will make the start tonight in Baltimore, opposed by Wei-Yin Chen for the O’s and Craig is feeling very good about ‘his’ Yankees’ chances, while his radio partner and BFF seems to be pulling for Buck Showalter and the Orioles — although he won’t admit it.
Another bright spot over the weekend stemmed from the Giants’ overwhelming 41-27 victory over the Cleveland Browns. After falling behind early, Tom Coughlin’s Big Blue crew stormed back to take care of the Browns and improve to 3-2 on the season.
So thanks to a couple of wins by the locals and the Jets hoping to right the ship tonight against the Texans, the good vibrations were flowing through the Allstate Studio early on this morning…
