Osi Umenyiora's Son 'Better' After Hospitalization For Asthma Attack

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora's son was hospitalized and then released Sunday after an asthma attack.

Umenyiora left MetLife Stadium immediately after the 41-27 victory over Cleveland to be with his 5-year-old son, Tijani.

The New York Daily News described Umenyiora as "frantic," declining to answer postgame questions.

Umenyiora played the entire game, making four tackles.

The boy had the asthma attack in the morning and was released from the hospital later in the day.

"He is better. Thanks," Umenyiora wrote in an email to USA Today.
