Kellie Pickler Secures New Record Deal

Kellie Pickler has found a new home.

After splitting with Sony Music's BNA/19 Recordings earlier this year, the country star has signed a new record deal with Black River Entertainment.

"From our initial meeting, it was clear to me how much the entire team respects the artists’ musical vision," Kellie said in a statement about joining Black River Entertainment. "I’m really looking forward to getting back into the studio to record and release new music to country radio."

As she said in an interview earlier this summer, her relationship with her previously label had soured, and so she "[wanted to] sign with someone that is about the music and gets you."

Kellie will be joining forces with fellow artists on Black River Entertainment including Craig Morgan, Sarah Darling, Due West, and Glen Templeton as she looks forward to future releases.

Kellie is currently on the road in support of her latest release, 100 Proof.

The former American Idol contestant made headlines last month when she saved her head live on Good Morning America to support friend and Breast Cancer fighter, Summer Holt Miller.
