Police: Suspect Sexually Assaulted Girl, 11, In Elmhurst Before Fleeing On Bicycle

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is investigating a sexual attack on a young girl in Queens that took place last Monday.

A suspect who was riding a mountain bike at Whitney Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst approached an 11-year-old girl, who was also riding her bike, around 6:30 p.m.

Police said the suspect asked the girl for help to repair his bicycle then sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

Authorities said the victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 35 to 45 years old and approximately 6-foot-2. He was last seen riding a black mountain bike with a black seat with red stripes, police said.
