Hakeem Nicks Activated For Game Against 49ers

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has been activated for the Giants against the 49ers in a rematch of last season's NFC championship game.

New York listed Nicks as questionable in its injury report this week with soreness in the right foot he broke in the offseason and with swelling in his left knee. He returned to practice Thursday for the first time in two weeks and hasn't played since the second week of the season.

Running back Brandon Jacobs is inactive again for San Francisco. He had hoped to make his 49ers debut against his former team. He has not played since injuring his left knee in preseason.

First-round pick A.J. Jenkins and second-round pick LaMichael James also are inactive for the 49ers. Neither rookie has played this season.
