It was an eventful weekend as far as the New York sports landscape goes to say the least.
The Jets did what they had to do against rookie quarterback Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, beating them down to the tune of 35-9. The New York football Giants looked extremely impressive while dismantling the 49ers, 26-3, in San Francisco.
All of that is well and good, but Boomer & Craig opened up today’s radio program talking about those New York Yankees, who trail the Tigers 2-0 in the ALCS heading to Detroit and will be without their captain, as Derek Jeter fractured his ankle Saturday night. Making matters worse, the Tigers will have Justin Verlander making the start Tuesday night for Game 3.
So needless to say the Yankees face an uphill battle if they hope to even win a game against the Tigers, while both the Jets (3-3) and the Giants (4-2) sit atop of their respective divisions after an eventful football Sunday…
