A-Rod's Yankee Stadium Gal Pals Tell Their Side In Slugger's 'Flirtgate'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Straight from the bikini-model's mouth, we're hearing from two young ladies that caught A-Rod's eye during Game 1 of the ALCS game at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

"I initially didn't know who A-Rod was because I didn't recognize him," Kyna Treacy said.

Now she certainly knows who Alex Rodriguez is.

In an Inside Edition exclusive, businesswoman and model Treacy, along with her friend, Katie Quinn, gave the lowdown about what happened Saturday when they were in the stands two rows behind the Yankee dugout.

"It's all a bit of fun," Quinn said.

Rodriguez did not know who the woman from Australia was, but apparently he wanted to know. During a break in play he reportedly had a ball boy deliver a baseball to them.

Included was a note some might describe as a come on. The ladies said Saturday's game was their very first baseball game, and while they didn't know exactly what A-Rod looked like, they were aware of his reputation with women.

"They just wanted to know if we had enjoyed the game, what we did for work and who we are, basically," Treacy said.

CBS 2's Dave Carlin went to Midtown Sports on Thursday to get A-Rod saga reactions -- and when it comes to A-Rod the responses are always lively.

"To me, it's a non-issue. Baseball players do it all the time," said Dominic Fanelli of Woodside, N.J.

"Low class behavior, no question," Brooklyn's Brandy Younger said.

"That he needs to do on his personal time," added Tim Bonilla of Bedford Park in the Bronx.

"He wouldn't have to flirt if he was hitting home runs," Devron Douglas of Astoria added.

Rodriguez would not answer specific questions about the so-called flirting incident, which came amid a lack of success on the field, and, later, rumors he'll be traded.

"There's blood in the water -- and when you don't play well, and I haven't played well, and like I said, some of the criticism I've received, I've been here nine years, I can take that. It's deserved," Rodriguez said. "Our only focus from top to bottom is to win a baseball game."

Rodriguez is believed to be in a relationship with former World Wrestling Entertainment star Torrie Wilson, who did not comment on the alleged flirting.
