Darius Rucker And Rodney Atkins Give This Week’s NFL Picks
It’s a special week, in fact, one of our pickers also happens to be the Grand Ole Opry‘s newest member. Darius Rucker was inducted just this week in a special ceremony. The invitation, though, came as a surprise from Darius’s friend and fellow Opry member, Brad Paisley.
The former leader of Hootie & the Blowfish, Darius is also getting lots of attention on country radio, thanks to his new single, “True Believers.”
“It’s so me and so personal in my life,” Darius said of the song, during an interview with CBS Local. “It’s the story about a husband and a wife who all their friends said were never going to make it and all these years later all their friends are divorced and they’re still together and everybody is still saying they’re never going to make it.”
Our second set of picks comes from frequent chart-topper Rodney Atkins (“Take a Back Road,” “These Are My People”), who has a new single as well, “Just Wanna Rock and Roll.”
