Drill Simulating Plane Accident To Take Place At Newark Airport Saturday
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Don't worry, it's just a drill.
Passengers and motorists in New Jersey may see smoke and emergency vehicles in and around Newark Airport on Saturday.
However, there's no need to fret.
Emergency responders will be conducting a drill between 10 a.m. and noon, simulating an airplane accident between a passenger and cargo plane.
The "full-scale exercise," involving Port Authority Police along with the Newark and Elizabeth police and fire departments, won't cause any impact to travelers, according to the Port Authority.
