NEW YORK (CBS 2) — Sports stars are coming together for a very good cause.

Shannon Forde, 41, is a longtime Mets media relations member and mother of two. She was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in August.

There will be a fundraiser on Nov. 1 in her honor at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, N.J. Admission is $100, and guests can pay an additional $250 to meet current and former Mets, including Daniel Murphy, Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden.
