Sandy Forces Closure Of All NYC, L.I. Starbucks Locations

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There is bad news for those of you who need that caffeine fix to get going in the morning or can't get through the day without a pumpkin spice latte.

All New York City and Long Island Starbucks locations closed at 4 p.m. on Sunday and will remain closed all day Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The stores closed to allow employees to get home before mass transit shut down ahead of Hurricane Sandy's arrival.

Other locations outside the city, including in New Jersey and Connecticut, will close on a case-by-case basis.

Many Dunkin' Donuts locations are also closed.
