Police: Couple Walking Dog Killed By Falling Tree In Ditmas Park
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A couple out walking their dog Monday night have been killed, police said.
A boyfriend and girlfriend were killed in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn when a linden tree fell on them as post-tropical storm Sandy tore though, CBS 2's Sean Hennessey reported.
Neighbors said the couple was apparently out walking their dog Monday night when residents said they heard trees falling.

The victims were not found until Tuesday morning when neighbors went outside to survey the damage from the storm.
"A Caucasian man laying on his stomach with one of the trees on top of him and the woman is laying next to him. She's mangled. It's just sad. You're not supposed to go outside during a storm for this reason exactly," a neighbor told Hennessey.
The medical examiner's office arrived on the scene around 12 p.m. Tuesday and will determine the identities of the victims, Hennessey reported.
