If you’re looking to blame someone for blowing Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green’s comments about the Giants defense way out of proportion, look no further than our very own Jerry Recco.

Craig deduced that it was because of Jerry’s careless reporting yesterday morning that we are dealing with the firestorm today.

Jerry brushed off Craig’s claim and proceeded to begin his update with the (manufactured) ‘war of words’ between Green and Antrel Rolle, before moving on to the Giants’ head coach, who called his defensive unit ‘soft’ — which one would think would sting a little more than a comment made by an opponent.  Boomer explained to Craig that it sounds a little different coming from a coach.  Rounding things out for Big Blue, Hakeem Nicks says he is playing and remarks that ‘stats are for girls,’ which sent the Giants PR staff into a frenzy.

Not to be outdone in the ‘headline-grabbing comment’ department, Antonio Cromartie guaranteed the Jets would make the playoffs yesterday on an appearance on the NFL Network and Craig thinks he knows why.  Predictably Rex Ryan backed Cromartie’s claim — Craig not so much.

Then, when Craig played a little Aerosmith, ‘Dream-On’ (see what he did there?) Boomer got all deep and started talking about dreams and stuff.

Plus, Andrew Luck and the Colts improved to 6-3 with a 27-10 win over the Jaguars, Jerry gets schooled for reporting a Blue Jays free-agent signing and Tino Martinez is hired as Red Sox new hitting coach. Craig tells Yankee fans to deal with it…
