Springsteen, McCartney, More Set For Sandy Benefit Concert At Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some of the biggest names in music are coming together for one night only to raise money for victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and Kanye West will hit the stage at Madison Square Garden for a benefit concert next month.

Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Roger Waters and The Who are also on the all-star line up for the Dec. 12 show, dubbed "12-12-12."

"The response from the entertainment community to help those most affected by Hurricane Sandy has been nothing short of astounding," said event producers, James Dolan, John Sykes and Harvey Weinstein. "We are confident that the event will ensure those in need will not be forgotten, and vital aid will be directed to rebuilding our communities along the East Coast."

More performers are expected to be announced at a later date.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund to benefit millions of people throughout the Tri-State area who were affected by Sandy.
