Kelly Clarkson Fights Back Against UK Newspaper Over Made-Up Quotes

It seems a UK newspaper doesn’t know a thing about Kelly Clarkson.

The original Idol lashed out on Twitter last night (November 26), putting the Mirror to task for its poor reporting.

Kelly, who is featured on the cover of the paper’s Sunday Celebs edition, claims she never once said she was anorexic nor did she say, “No one should be as famous as me,” which appears in big bold letters on the front page.

“I said in the interview, when asked about fame, that I have no desire to be as famous as Britney or Madonna,” Kelly clarified on Twitter. “I said that kind of fame was too much for any person and that I have experienced a portion of what they deal with and that I didn’t handle that well and I’m happy where I’m at in my career.”

The singer, who just released her first Greatest Hits-Chapter One, didn’t stop there though. She finished her Twitter rant by writing: “I love when people take what you say and twist it to make you sound obnoxious and arrogant…Nice job Mirror!”

After her tirade, Kelly got some support from fellow Idol winner Jordin Sparks who tweeted “You go girl!”

Kelly then showed some love back, explaining she hated when people made stuff up, but loved Sparkle.
