Both the Knicks and the Nets were successful on the hardwood last night. The Knicks took care of the Bucks in Milwaukee, while the Nets were sluggin’ it out with the Celts in Beantown.
Boomer & Craig opened up today’s Morning Extravaganza discussing the NBA locals, who both boast records of 10-4 and sit atop the Atlantic Division. Melo rested the entire fourth quarter, finishing with 29 points in just 30 minutes, and the Nets had a dust-up in Boston that resulted in a few ejections, as well as the back page of the local papers.
Are the Nets a legitimate threat to surpass the Knicks for NYC supremacy???
With that questioning lingering, the guys briefly touched on the Yankees’ decision to reward Andy Pettitte, before moving on to Bart Scott. Scott called out Jets fans, and in doing so he touched a nerve with Craigie.
To put it in a nutshell, Scott took issue with Jets fans who are critical of the team, citing a “jealousy” and referencing — in a derogatory manner — those who may have been “picked last at dodgeball.”
That was all Craig had to hear, and from there he issued a challenge to Scott to put his money where his mouth is in a little game of dodgeball…
