Jerrod Niemann To Stream Chicago Concert Live Tonight

Jerrod Niemann is appearing tonight (Nov. 29) at Chicago venue Joe's Bar. Never mind if you don't have a ticket, or are even in the same city. If you want to see the show, you can stream it live online.

The is set to stream on the website laplive.tv, and the cost is $6.99 to watch it. Note that a portion of the proceeds from tonight's live stream will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The concert kicks off at 9pm CT (10pm ET), and according to LAPLIVE, you'll be able to view it live as well as up to 24 hours afterward.

Jerrod Niemann's latest album is Free The Music. It took him two years to make, and as he told CBS Local in a recent interview, he wrote or cowrote every song on the album himself.

“This particular album we were taking a certain direction instrumentally," he said, "so I had to write music in the direction of the instruments we were going to be using. It was definitely a tough task.”

He also embraced analog technology for the recording and made use of horns. “One thing about Nashville," he explained, "is we always respect our forefathers and sisters who built country music before us. At the end of the day it’s exciting to grab horns from Bob Wills, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard and take that old technology but transform it into a new sound in our own way."

Free The Music is available now. Jerrod's live concert stream takes place tonight (Thursday, Nov. 29) starting at 9pm CT.
