WEST POINT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The annual Army-Navy football game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8th in Philadelphia and will be broadcasted on your local CBS station at 3pm. But some West Point cadets will start the running game a couple of days early.

The U.S. Military Academy’s 19-member marathon team will run a ceremonial game ball from West Point in the Hudson Valley to Philadelphia about 140 miles south.

The run through New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania is scheduled to start Thursday night and take two days.

Last year’s game was held at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland where Navy beat Army 27-21 and extended their series lead to 56 wins, 49 loses and seven ties.
