More than a month after superstorm Sandy ravaged the city, its post office is back in business and residents couldn't be more grateful.

The post office is only offering partial service, basically just pick up and delivery.

But, one woman said it's good to see it open again.

"Oh, it feels great to know it's coming back. We need the service here," said Sava Geri.

She said it's further proof of progress and a comeback.

"We're starting to see things like the mail coming back. The streets are clean. They're getting rid of the cars," said resident Alex Levy. "All I need is heat in my apartment and gas."

"We're very happy to have the employees back. We're happy to give some normalcy back to the community," said Frank Lecricky, the Long Beach post office's operations manager.
