Man Killed By Falling Refrigeration Unit In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A worker was killed Tuesday in a freak accident in the Bronx.
Shortly before 11 a.m., the victim was pinned when a large refrigeration unit that was being lifted came crashing down outside a building on Grand Concourse at 173rd Street, almost in front of Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
The unit had been attached to a chain, which snapped.
The man was taken to Bronx Lebanon, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The accident remained under investigation Tuesday night.
