NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have offered a $12,000 reward for help solving the murder of a 33-year-old man late last month on Staten Island.

At around 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 22, police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at Winter and Westervelt avenues in the St. George section of borough. They found Omar Fierros Pliego lying with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Pliego, of the 0-99 block of Corson Avenue, was taken to Richmond County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Further details on the shooting or what might have led up to it have not been released.
