B&C Morning Show: Good News For The Yanks? Jets Just Can't Help Themselves

While opening up this action-packed edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza, Craig was grinning from ear-to-ear as he shared the news that the Yankees could soon have close to a $100 million to play with.

According to Craig, the Yanks are "this close" to ridding themselves of Alex Rodriguez for good.  If A-Rod is unable to make a return to pinstripes after surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip, the Yankees will be covered for the majority of his contract by an insurance policy. Translation: Let the spending spree begin.

Craig is pretty confident that we've seen the last of A-Rod in pinstripes. Boomer, on the other hand, isn't ready to count A-Rod out just yet, saying there is a 99.9 percent chance he will be on the field for the Bombers at some point next season.

So let the debate begin -- will he or won't he???  Boomer & Craig cover it like a glove.

As for the Jets, if you believe some written reports void of any actual quotes, owner Woody Johnson has weighed in regarding the Jets' QB controversy, and he reportedly wanted to see Greg McElroy get the start this Sunday against the Jaguars.  Conversely, GM Mike Tannenbaum and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano wanted Mark Sanchez under center against the Jags.

Rex Ryan cleared thing up later today when he named his starter, but before that the Dynamic Radio Duo did their best to make sense of the circus that is the New York Jets...
