EAST PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — An East Patchogue man has been arrested after police in Suffolk County said he stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death Tuesday night.

Police said 18-year-old Denny Turcios-Reyes has been charged with murder in the death of 20-year-old Jasmine Davis.

Cops found Davis around 10:45 p.m. on Amsterdam Avenue in East Patchogue with multiple stab wounds to her torso, police said. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Turcios-Reyes was later arrested. He is set to be arraigned Wednesday in Central Islip.
