When crazy Aunt Bella isn’t around, apparently the three members of Lady Antebellum can actually get some good things accomplished. For instance, this week, the Lady A three bandmates launched a new charitable initiative called LadyAID.

The idea behind LadyAID is to bring awareness to and generate support for children in need, from the local to the global level.

Organizations that will receive grants include Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, myLIFEspeaks, and The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

“There are children all over the world who are suffering because they don’t have the resources to get the help they need,” Hillary Scott noted in a statement posted on the band’s website. “My heart has specifically been lead to the children of Haiti. By partnering with organizations like UNHCR and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, we’ve already seen children be given access to medical care they wouldn’t otherwise have in their country. It’s so inspiring, and anything we can do to help that cause, we’re going to do.”

Additional information, including mailing list signup and the process for donating, can be found at LadyAid.org.
