B&C Morning Show: ‘The Bus’ Jerome Bettis Talks Irish, NFL

Jerome Bettis is a former NFL running back and a proud Notre Dame alumni, so when he paid Boomer and Craig a visit in the Allstate Studio, he was grinning from ear-to-ear.

The reason for the grin of course is because Notre Dame will be playing Alabama on January 7 for the college football national championship, and ‘The Bus’ likes the Irish’s chances in a low-scoring affair.  To his credit, Craig did not hide his disdain for Notre Dame, but I don’t think Mr. Bettis really cared.

Bettis offered his take on the Jets and the way they’ve handled Mark Sanchez.  According to Bettis, the Jets have not made the proper moves to compliment what Sanchez does.  Bettis believes the Jets organization misjudged what Sanchez is – which is not a ‘playmaker.’

The 40-year-old Bettis claimed that he does not dye his hair and does not ‘man-groom’ on a regular basis.  When pressed about what he is benchin’, things got a little uncomfortable after Craig issued a stern threat to Bettis if he did not answer the question.

Luckily no blood was shed and we learned that if he had to Bettis could put up between 330-340 lbs…
