NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A New York City correctional officer was charged this week with imprisoning a suspect unlawfully in her Bronx apartment.

Luis Leonard, 46, was charged with unlawful imprisonment Friday, police said.

Police did not release further details, but DNAInfo reported Leonard got into a quarrel with his ex-girlfriend’s daughter and trapped her inside her apartment in the Soundview section of the Bronx for a whole day.

Leonard handcuffed the victim and would not let her leave, police told DNAInfo.

Further details were not available.
