Cars Stall Out After Jet Fuel Is Delivered To New Jersey Gas Station

KEYPORT, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A dangerous mistake by a fuel delivery service caused drivers in Monmouth County, N.J. a lot of grief Sunday.

Police said jet fuel was mistakenly delivered to the Delta gas station on Highway 36 in Keyport, N.J., on Sunday morning.

Some cars gassed up on the jet fuel, and ended up stalling out as a result.

The gas station has been closed down until its operators can identify which pump the fuel was put int, and until it can be cleaned out.

Hazardous materials crews said there was no fire danger.
