Greg McElroy Inactive For Jets, Tebow To Backup Sanchez

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Tim Tebow is active and serving as the New York Jets' backup quarterback Sunday at Jacksonville.

Third-string quarterback Greg McElroy is inactive, along with starting tight end Dustin Keller (ankle). Receiver Stephen Hill (knee) is active after being listed as questionable Friday.

Tebow sat out the last two games while recovering from two broken ribs. McElroy led the Jets to victory last week after replacing Sanchez during last week's 7-6 win over Arizona.

Also inactive for the Jets are receiver Jordan White, receiver Clyde Gates, linebacker Ricky Sapp, defensive lineman Damon Harrison and guard Caleb Schlauderaff.

The Jaguars are without running back Rashad Jennings, cornerback Aaron Ross, running back Maurice Jones-Drew, guard Mike Brewster, receiver Cecil Shorts III and defensive ends George Selvie and John Chick. All but Chick were ruled out Friday.

Jets fans, how disappointed are you not see McElroy active against the Jags?  Sound off below…
