Suffolk County Armed Robbery Suspect Sought By Police

MEDFORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Suffolk County police are searching for a man who shot a gas station attendant during a robbery Saturday night.

According to police, the gas station employee was in his booth when the suspect approached, displayed a gun and demanded cash.

The suspect then shot the victim and took off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. at the BP station at 1614 Route 112 in Medford.

The victim was taken to Stony Brook Hospital where he is listed in serious condition, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
