NYPD: Suspect Raped Victim After Climbing Ladder To Enter Residence

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for a suspect wanted in a brazen sex assault.

Authorities said a 24-year-old woman was raped on Dec. 9 around 4 a.m. in the Elmhurst section of Queens.

The suspect used a ladder to enter the woman's residence through a bathroom window before he sexually assaulted the victim and fled, the NYPD said.

Police continue to investigate the incident and have released a sketch of the suspect, who is described as a black or Hispanic man between 20 and 25 years old.

The suspect was also said to be wearing a grey knit cap, black waist-length nylon jacket, blue jeans, red and white sneakers and a Diesel brand brown belt.
