B&C Morning Show: A 'Tricky' Update Puts Us In An 'Empire State Of Mind'

Boomer and Craig returned from their first break and picked up right where they left off, critiquing the '12-12-12' benefit last night at MSG and discussing fallen front-men Kurt Cobain and Jerry Garcia.

Then we got to hear a 'sound-check' of the local talent who was supposed to step in for Jay-Z and perform "Empire State of Mind" along with Alicia Keys to close the show.  The lovely Keys ended up performing alone and Craig told us the reason why.

After listening to that, Jerry Recco was a welcome change of pace as he was on hand to deliver his first update of the morning. He got started with tonight's main attraction, Lakers-Knicks at the Garden, a game that marks the return of Mike D'Antoni.

Last night the Nets were north of the border, playing the Raptors in Toronto, and managed to put a halt to their five-game skid with a 94-88 win.  Despite the victory, Craig called the Nets' performance an 'embarrassment' -- he's not a big fan.

Plus, Tom Coughlin get's 'tricky' with Giants beat reporter Ralph Vacchiano, Pete Carroll spills the beans on Braylon Edwards' questionable hamstring, the NFL is considering expanding its playoff pool from 12 to 16 teams and Saints QB Drew Brees sounds off after the latest bombshell in 'Bountygate'...
