B&C Morning Show: Knicks Make A Statement, Josh Hamilton Makes A Decision
Carmelo Anthony left Thursday night’s game about five minutes into the second half with a sprained ankle — but before departing, he managed to score 30 points in just 23 minutes as the Knicks downed the Mike D’Antoni-coached Lakers 116-107.
Craig was all sorts of fired up about the Knicks, calling this team ‘special’ and saying in Melo they have ‘the guy’ every championship team needs. Through 22 games the Knicks are 17-5, two better than both the Heat and the Hawks. Carmelo is playing his a– off and dominating while doing so.
Boomer loves what he’s seen from Melo thus far, loves that the Knicks are a perfect 9-0 at home and continues to be astounded by what Jason Kidd brings to the table.
I’d say at this point you can sum up the Knicks with a pretty simple phrase: ‘Sky’s the limit.’
Moving right along to the baseball ‘hot stove’ – which heated up when Josh Hamilton signed with the Angels despite Craig’s insistence that the free-agent slugger would become a Bomber. With the deal done, this much is certain: the American League just got a whole lot tougher, especially for those who play in the AL West.
In addition to all of that, Boomer is in a mood, Al Dukes is on steroids and Craig loves it…
