"I understand that's the allegation in the case. Our position is no crimes were committed and we intend to defend that position," his attorney Kevin Keran said Friday.

Tedesco is alleged to have neglected his patrol while visiting his mistress on at least 57 occasions. The married father of two abruptly retired from the force last spring when the allegations first surfaced.

The alleged mistress is suing Tedesco and the county for $10 million for severe emotional and psychological damage.
