Nets Forward Gerald Wallace Calls Out Team After Brooklyn's Latest Defeat

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Things aren't going so well for the Nets in their inaugural season in Brooklyn.

The Nets lost to the Bucks, 108-93, for the 13th consecutive time on Wednesday night, falling to .500 with a 14-14 record.

It's the first time that Brooklyn has been a .500 team since they were 2-2 on November 9.

Nets forward Gerald Wallace is sick and tired of how his team is playing, and he couldn't restrain himself following Brooklyn's latest defeat.

"It seems like guys are content with the situation that we are in, and I'm f------ pissed off about us losing, especially losing the way we are losing," the 11th-year player said following Wednesday night's loss, according to Newsday.

And how can you blame the NBA veteran for being upset? The Nets are in the midst of a dreadful stretch, and they likely can't wait for the month of December to finally end. After starting the season 11-4, the team has gone 3-10 in December. They currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, just a half-game ahead of the 76ers.

Wallace isn't alone in being frustrated with the organization.

After Brooklyn lost to the Celtics, 93-76, on Christmas, Nets CEO Brett Yormark tweeted, "Nets fans deserved better today. The entire organization needs to work harder to find the solution. We will get there."

Yormark later said that his words weren't solely in reference to the team's poor on-court performance.

The Nets have an opportunity to get back to their winning ways on Friday night when they host the Bobcats, losers of 16 games in a row. They will round out December at home against Cleveland and on the road against the Spurs.

Wallace, playing in his first full season as a Net, is averaging 11.1 points, 2.9 assists and 6.0 rebounds in 34.2 minutes per game.
