Report: Stoudemire To Make Season Debut Against Trail Blazers

NEW YORK, NY (CBSNewYork) - Yahoo! Sports is reporting that New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire will make his season debut on Tuesday night in front of the Madison Square Garden fans.

Head coach Mike Woodson plans on bringing Stoudemire off the bench during the game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

There is no word on if Carmelo Anthony will return tonight after suffering a hyper-extended knee. Anthony does plan on testing his knee during pre-game warm-ups and will make a decision after that on whether he will return to the lineup.

Stoudemire suffered a popliteal cyst rupture behind his surgically repaired left knee in late October and underwent a left knee debridement, at the time the team said he would miss six to eight weeks.

The Knicks have started the season with a 21-9 record and are leaders in the Atlantic Division.
