NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Two men were shot – one of them fatally — early Saturday inside a restaurant in Jamaica, Queens.

Around 2:10 a.m., police were dispatched for a call of shots fired at El Nuevo Café Latino restaurant, at 144-11 Jamaica Ave.

Police found two men in the restaurant with gunshot wounds. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

The man who was killed was identified as Jony Gonzalez, 27, of Queens.

The other, a 38-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released information about who shot the men, or what sparked the incident.

No one had been arrested as of mid-morning Saturday, and the investigation remained ongoing.
