LIRR Resumes Normal Service Out Of Penn Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Long Island Railroad has resumed normal eastbound service out of Penn Station.

Earlier, LIRR was running hourly service out of Penn Station to Ronkonkoma, Huntington, Babylon and Port Washington branches only due to a person struck by a train in Forest Hills.

The railroad had advised customers to take the 2 or 3 trains to Atlantic Terminal or the E train to Jamaica for service to other branches.

NYC Transit was cross honoring LIRR fares at Jamaica and Penn Stations.
