Woman Falls Through Sidewalk Grate On Upper East Side
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman suffered minor injuries Friday when she fell through the sidewalk on Second Avenue and 60th Street.
Chopper 2 HD was over the scene, where a gaping hole was visible. The woman had been standing on the sidewalk in front of an Atomic Wings restaurant waiting for a bus when she backed up to get out of the rain and went straight down through a metal grate, FDNY officials said.
The woman fell at least five feet, but was quickly pulled out of the hole and transported to Cornell Hospital.
