Women Weigh In On What Makes The 'Perfect Man' In New Survey

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- So what makes a man perfect?

A new survey of thousands of New York women came up with exactly what they're looking for in the "perfect man."

According to a survey on WhatsYourPrice.com of more than 9,000 women, the perfect man is athletic, has a graduate degree, makes $150,000 to $200,000 dollars, has green eyes and brown hair.

So according to that list, Ian Clague, a 50-year-old hedge fund manager, who runs marathons, has a masters and even an English accent fits the bill.

"I think the whole thing's hilarious and maybe I'll meet some really cute girls as a result," Clague told CBS 2's Cindy Hsu.

Clague, who lives in Brooklyn said he is looking for someone adventurous, who likes to travel and try new things.

But what are women really looking for?

"An honest, open-minded, kind man," said one woman.

"Fun, outgoing and likes to take risks and be spontaneous," said Stacey Walsh.

Cory Fisher, who CBS 2's Hsu found in Times Square holding-up a sign that says "Hey ladies, this guy is single," was asked about the "perfect man" list?

Hsu: "Are you athletic?"

Fisher: "I think so."

Hsu: "Do you make $100 to 200 thousand dollars?"

Fisher: "No I do not."

Nancy Porter said the list is ridiculous and said her husband of 34 years was the perfect man.

"You know why? Because he cares more about me than himself," Porter said.

"I'm just not going there...I'll take that compliment, but I'm just not touching it," said her husband.
