MEDFORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A man was seriously injured Saturday in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Medford, Long Island.

Suffolk County police said Gregory Jackson, 48, was operating a 2006 Yamaha quad in the parking lot of his auto repair shop, at 37 Cedarhust Ave., when he apparently lost control and struck a parked trailer at 12:42 p.m. Saturday. Jackson was ejected from his ATV and ended up hitting the pavement, police said.

Jackson, 48, of Coram, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
