Gas Station Attendant Shot Dead In East Orange, N.J.
EAST ORANGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A gas station was shot and killed during a robbery this past weekend in East Orange, N.J.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Monday that Joginder Singh, 50, of East Orange, was shot around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the gas station where he worked in the 500 block of William Street in East Orange.
He was pronounced dead around 11:30 p.m. at University Hospital in Newark, police said.
Prosecutors did not release details of the robbery or the shooting.
As of late Monday afternoon, no one was in custody in the case and the investigation remained active.
