Suspect Wanted In Beating Of 76-Year-Old Man On J Subway Train

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for beating another on a subway train in December.

A 76-year-old man was on a northbound J train at the Alabama Ave subway station in Brooklyn on Dec. 19, 2012.

Another man then exchanged words with the elderly man and began to punch him several times in the face, according to police.

The suspect, who was with a child, then fled the train at the Cypress Hills subway station, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, and weighs 180-190 pounds.

He was seen wearing a black coat and dark pants.
