Tim Tebow's Brother Apologizes For 'Happy' Tweet After Broncos Loss

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tim Tebow's brother apologized Monday for gloating on Twitter after the Denver Broncos were eliminated from the playoffs.

Following Denver's 38-35 double-overtime loss to Baltimore on Sunday, Peter Tebow tweeted "Am I the only one in Denver who's happy right now?"

He also poked fun at quarterback Peyton Manning for what he called "the awkward turtle sign."

Tim Tebow was traded from the Broncos to the New York Jets last March. The swap came on the heels of Manning's move to Denver.

While Manning was brilliant for the Broncos in 2012, the playoff scoreboard in the Mile-High City still reads Tim 1, Peyton 0.

"My comment after the game was uncalled for. I may root for another team but I should never gloat about anyone's misfortune. I'm truly sorry," Peter Tebow tweeted Tuesday.

The Jets are expected to cut ties with Tim Tebow this offseason, though the team has insisted no decisions will be made until a new general manager is in place.

Admit it -- you had no idea Tim Tebow had a brother. Be heard in the comments...
