B&C Morning Show: Ray Rice Makes New Rochelle Even More Proud; Jerry Updates
Like Craig, Ravens running back Ray Rice is a New Rochelle native, so Craig took a moment to offer congrats to his fellow Huguenot as he prepares to take on the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
After the praise for Rice concluded, Jerry Recco filled us in on how both the Ravens and the 49ers won their respective contests. With the loss, Tom Brady fell to 66-1 when leading at the half, while his Baltimore counterpart Joe Flacco continued his postseason dominance.
His teammates are sure taking notice.
One of Flacco’s teammates is planning to retire following the season — I’m talking of course about Ray Lewis. Lewis has a tendency to get rather emotional, and following the win his emotions were on full display. Meanwhile Bill Belichick decided to blow off his postgame, on-field interview obligations and got an earful from Shannon Sharpe on “The NFL Today” for doing so.
Plus, when talking about Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers’ 28-24 comeback win over the Falcons, Boomer expressed a desire to get close to an unknown man. Craig expressed his displeasure with the officiating throughout the game and was then beaming with pride after hearing that a Falcons reporter mistakenly refered to Kaepernick as Copernicus.
