Police: Human Remains Found Near Long Island Sound In Oyster Bay

OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police on Long Island said a woman walking her dog near the shores of Oyster Bay discovered human skeletal remains.

Nassau County Police said the remains appear to be of a woman between 20 and 30 years of age.

A necklace was also discovered at the scene at the end of Sheep Lane in the village of Lattingtown.

Homicide detectives were investigating the discovery, which was made at about 3 p.m. on Monday.
