NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Tuesday were asking for the help of the public in finding a man wanted for robbing three businesses in Manhattan and the Bronx.

In all three incidents – the oldest of which dates back a month – the suspect entered the business and flashed or implied that he had a handgun, and took cash from the registers. The suspect then fled on foot, police said.

The first incident happened on Dec. 23 at around 5:15 p.m. at 573 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The second happened on Dec. 27 at around 8 p.m. at 974 Intervale Ave., in the Bronx, and the third on Jan. 4, at around 6:50 p.m. at 256 Manhattan Ave., in Harlem.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s, standing 6-foot to 6-2, and weighing 175 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige bubble jacket with a dark brown shoulder area, and used a silver handgun in the robberies, police said.

Police have released a surveillance video of the robber from the first incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, go to the Crime Stoppers Web site, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
